Outline for this year’s mid-week Lenten services beginning with Ash Wednesday and including Holy Week- Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services: *February 22 (Ash Wednesday): The Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector. Receive Justification. This man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. Luke 18:14 **March 1: The Parable of the Sower and the Seed. Receive The Word. As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. Matthew 13:23 **March 8: The Parable of the Hidden Treasure and the Priceless Pearl. Receive the Treasure. A merchant on finding one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it. Matthew 13:45-46 **March 15: The Parable of the Good Samaritan. Receive Mercy. He went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Luke 10:34 **March 22: The Parable of the Worker in the Vineyard. Receive Grace. I choose to give to this last worker as I give to you. Matthew 20:14 **March 29: The Parable of the Prodigal Son. Receive Forgiveness. His father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him. Luke 15:20 April 6, Maundy Thursday: The Parable of the Great Banquet. Receive the Meal.
