11:00 am: Christmas Project: Shoeboxes for the Youth at Wernle Youth and Family Treatment Center

October 2, 2022

Remember how we put together shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child?  This year we are going to put together boxes for the young people who reside at Wernle Youth and Family Treatment Center as our Christmas project.  We want to bless those kids just like we blessed kids all over the world.  Boxes will be packed with fun items.  If you would like to show support to the youth with this special gift, please take a shoe box from the Welcome Center.  There is a list of some "suggested" fun items in each shoe box, but feel free to add your own (but please no metal nor glass).  Currently, there are 14 girls and 16 boys at the Center.  But just in case, we want to make 20 boxes for boys and 20 boxes for girls.  If you take a shoe box, please mark either girl or boy on the paper next to the shoeboxes so we don't get 40 of the same.  You are welcome to take more than one box!  Please be sure your box is here at the church no later than Sunday, December 4.  Then the following Sunday, December 11, Chris Parker from Wernle Center will be joining us for worship and for Greet 'n' Eat and Sunday School.  On that day, we will present Chris with our gifts for the youth.  Let's let our lights shine, making this a fun, exciting project that benefits all the Wernle youth.  You will be blessed as well!
